விலைவாசிக்கெதிரான நமது போராட்டம்
BSNL employees staging a demonstration in front of the BSNL office in Tirupur on Monday demanding reduction in fuel prices.
Tirupur: Telecom employees affiliated to BSNL Employees Union (BSNLEU) staged a novel agitation in the city on Monday to mark their protest against the steep increase in LPG cylinder and fuel prices.
Bullock cart
The agitators came with a bullock cart loaded with one motorcycle and also carried traditional stoves alongside empty gas cylinders to give a symbolic message to the authorities concerned how the fuel price hike would affect the common man. BSNLEU Tirupur branch president K. Valeesan said that the Government should immediately rollback increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG and kerosene.
Predicament
“By increasing the oil prices at a time of high inflation, the Central Government has put the middle and lower middle class families into a predicament,” he added.
